Hey Sole Mates!
The holidays are just around the corner and while this season often entails extreme busyness it also brings a certain expectancy of cozy down time.
We at the Sole Serum office have big plans for Thanksgiving weekend.
Aaaah. Such a warm and cozy thought, right? But what to watch? There are so many options for binge-watching that it’s important to narrow it down to the best of the best.
1.) Sons of Anarchy. We’re just gonna lead with this picture of Jax Teller.
The perfect blend of a riveting storyline, awesome music, and the grungy inside of a motorcycle club, Sons of Anarchy reigns as our current fave. Again, Jax Teller.
2.) Orange is the New Black.
You might not think that a woman’s prison could be a place of heart-wrenching drama and side-grabbing humor, but Litchfield Women’s Penitentiary somehow endears each inmate to your heart of hearts.
Also, our home-girl Taryn Manning rocks as Pensatucky.
3.) Freaks and Geeks.
Feeling nostalgic? If you’re a fan of anything Judd Apatow/Jason Segal/Seth Rogen then this show is for you! While this show only has one season, it’s a great little escape back into the ‘80s, and you get to see where all these guys started.
Wanna get lost on a deserted island? Lost is an iconic combination of escapism and drama. With incredible character development, gorgeous scenery, and a mysterious twist around every corner, Lost is the perfect show to “lose” yourself in over the holidays.
5.) The Office.
Chances are, if you haven’t seen The Office yet then you’re completely at a loss with many cultural references and “inside jokes.” Do yourself a favor and catch up.
6.) Pretty Little Liars.
Well, between the perpetuated mystery and gorgeous hairstyles of all the stars, we’re completely hooked. Plus, our girl Tammin Sursok (Sole Serum devotee) stars in it!
7.) Mr. Selfridge.
We like shopping. We also like a good period drama complete with gorgeous costumes. Mr. Selfridge totally delivers on both points!
8.) Jane the Virgin.
Looking for something laugh-out-loud-funny AND totally addicting? Jane the Virgin is a bright and shining new star for the comedy scene. Also, it will pull at your heartstrings with all things romance and baby.
9.) Grey’s Anatomy.
When medicine, romance, and every day life combine you get something like Grey’s Anatomy. A beautiful narrative on the life of a surgeon, Grey’s is a perfect place to stop. For a few days. Or a few weeks. Shh! We won’t judge!
So maybe you aren’t looking for any extra familial drama or intrigue. We get it. But then again, isn’t it fun to escape into the problems of a fictitious reality? Parenthood delivers on narrative, character development, romance, comedy, and intrigue. It’s the perfect place to park and observe another life that is sure to strike a chord and make you contemplate your own.
So...what are you going to watch??
Comments will be approved before showing up.
They’re the people you know the best and yet somehow always end up being the hardest to buy for. Why? Because you want to give them the world! Well we’ve got you covered. These gifts aren’t just gifts but the makings of memories. Each treat sets the stage for memory magic and the ever perfect gift… time… quality time.
